Todas las opciones son posibles, porque en realidad no existe ninguna regla escrita, únicamente las que tú acuerdes con la otra persona.

En un mundo tan preocupado por lo material, tan desconfiado...es normal hacerse estas preguntas, pero la respuesta es muy simple, lo único que obtienes es la satisfacción de conocer a gente de sitios muy diferentes, con muchas cosas interesantes que contar, y a las que tú puedes ayudar, no solo ofreciendo tu casa (mucha gente piensa que éste es el motivo principal para viajar de esta forma, el económico, y no estoy de acuerdo, hay muchos otros igual o más interesantes), si no también tus conocimientos, puedes aconsejar, enseñar a esa persona cómo es tu ciudad desde dentro, desde el punto de vista de alguien que vive en ella, y eso, para alguien que viene de fuera y no sabe nada, es muy valioso...además de que puedes practicar idiomas!!

- Referencias personales: Comentarios que otros usuarios escriben en el perfil explicando su experiencia, pueden ser positivas, negativas o neutras, y se puede especificar el grado o tipo de amistad con la persona en cuestión.
- Verificación: No es necesaria, pero haciendo un pequeño pago a través de tarjeta de crédito (un donativo para la página), te envían una postal a la dirección que tú has dado, esa postal tiene un código, y al introducirlo verificas que realmente vives en el sitio que has dicho...es una forma de dar más confianza, aunque como digo, no es imprescindible.

De todas formas recomiendo rellenar el perfil lo más detalladamente posible, y sobre todo, solo decir a alguien que venga a tu casa si realmente te apetece o sientes que tienes cosas en común con esa persona, porque como en todas partes, habrá gente con la que tengas afinidad y otros con los que no...

Yo creé my perfil de Couchsurfing en Diciembre del año pasado, y por el momento hemos alojado a dos chicas, una española residente en París y una sueca...las experiencias han sido geniales! Hemos tenido muchas más solicitudes, pero queremos escoger bien, y tener tiempo libre para poder hacerlo...En el futuro también nos gustaría probar a viajar de esta manera, pero aún no hemos tenido la ocasión...en cuanto lo hagamos, prometo contarlo! :) Y si alguien tiene interés en saber más cosas, que me escriba y le cuento!
I created my Couchsurfing profile in December last year, and for the moment, we've hosted two girls, a spanish one living in Paris, and a swedish one...the experiences have been so great! We've had many more requests, but we want to choose well, and have spare time to do it...in the future we'd also like to try to travel this way, but we still haven't had the chance...as soon as we do it, I promise to tell it! :) And if someone is interested in getting to know more things, just write me and I'll tell you more!
Para terminar, me encanta la idea de Couchsurfing, porque me hace creer que otro mundo es posible, un mundo mucho más humano, amable y cercano...y creo firmemente en ello! Si queremos, podemos cambiarlo, no es una utopía, es una realidad!! :)
